How is the tattoo removed? The Quanta Q-Plus laser tattoo machine produces short pulses of high intensity light into the treated area. The tattoo inks and pigments selectively absorb the light without affecting the normal surrounding skin tissue in the process. The ink is crystallized into smaller ink particles that are harmlessly removed by your body’s immune system in the weeks following treatment. In most cases tattoos are completely removed. However, there are many factors involved in the removal process including the depth, density, color, age of tattoo and how your body responds to treatment. After each treatment a little bit more ink becomes fragmented.
PicoSure and Quanta Q-Plus C Wavelengths: The Quanta Q-Plus C is the only FDA approved laser on the market that offers three true wavelengths (1064, 694 and 532). Therefore, it is the only laser that can successfully remove a full spectrum of color – period. The PicoSure laser only offers one wavelength (755). The 755 wavelength was one of the first wavelengths used in tattoo removal and has two main pitfalls – 1) it does not target specific ink colors and 2) it passes right by red ink and can stop short of deep black colors. The PicoSure does have positive results in fading or removing tattoos, but its wavelength inhibits it from hitting exactly where it should in the skin to have ideal responses for complete removal. Also, the PicoSure can not remove red inks – period.
Will I have a scar once tattoo is removed? The chances of scarring are very low because new laser technology reduces the side effects of tattoo removal. Scarring can occur if client aftercare instructions are not followed. Additionally, risk of infection is also a possibility if aftercare treatment is not followed. Changes in skin pigment can also occur making the treated area noticeably lighter or darker than the surrounding skin. Therefore, it’s important that your laser technician look over your medical history during your consultation because there is an increased risk for those with auto immune diseases, diabetes and other skin conditions.
Can only part of my tattoo be removed? Yes! Natural Beauty Studio’s certified laser technicians can remove portions of tattoos such as names, shading, or a piece of the artwork. Our tattoo removal laser has several modes that allow us to be very precise when necessary.

What will I see right after my treatment? The body will detect the shattered ink and respond by activating an inflammation/immune response. Most patients experience some redness, swelling, and minor blistering of the skin after a laser treatment. These are temporary and your skin will heal back completely without scarring. You will receive instructions for proper care of the area once you start treatment.
Does Laser Tattoo Removal Hurt? Most of our clients describe the laser tattoo removal treatment as being snapped by a rubber band. Our laser tattoo removal technicians will take the time to make sure you are comfortable and will ice the area prior to the treatment. Laser tattoo removal will hurt more than getting the ink put on, however, the actual laser tattoo removal treatment will take a tenth of the time per treatment. If it took you an hour to get the tattoo put on the removal treatment should take about 10 minutes to complete. Once the treatment is finished the pain should subside in about 2 minutes and most of our clients will be able to resume their normal activities immediately following the treatment.
